| Finally an affordable way to install an older GM manual transmission behind a 4200 GM never made a bell housing to install older manual transmissions on the back of the 4200. So this adapter plate allow you to convert an 4200 4L60E bellhousing which are plentiful, as they came behind every 4200 in the OEM install. The plate bolts to the back of the bellhousing and then the transmission bolts to the back of the plate. The plate is threaded for customer supplied 3/8" NC bolts to bolt it to the bellhousing. The locating hole for the transmission is just under 4.68" diameter. If you need a different diameter we can adjust it for a small charge. When you order please supply the OD of your transmission bearing retainer. To accommodate different transmissions, the transmission mounting holes need to be added by the installer. Clutches. The bellhousing has provision for a 70's Camaro GM pivot ball. To us a mechanical clutch you will need to add a hole in the bell housing using a suitable hole saw. Alternatively you can run a hyd.
